Older Mens Health and Wellbeing Directory - A directory of links to organisations, services and resources

About Us

Background
This project was designed to be a useful resource about older men’s health and wellbeing and to serve as a possible first stage in a much more substantial project.

There is a growing and general recognition that Australian society must begin to address the special problems of older men and to begin to empower them to take greater control over their lives and to promote their wellbeing and health. There are a range of very valuable initiatives that have been developed in this area in recent times but unfortunately these remain, as yet, largely uncoordinated.

The principal goal of this project, is to start developing a map of the various organisations, initiatives, projects and resources related to the enhancement of the wellbeing of men - particularly older men.
